With Much Love - Thank You! :)

Thank you so much for all your words of encouragement and support as we got through these past couple weeks! It is unfortunate we were not blessed with good news, but we are happy to announce we will be trying again shortly!  We feel blessed to be surrounded by such supportive family and friends!!!  It is though that that love and support that gives us the strength and confidence to try again!  We love you all and thank you for being there for us!  Special thanks to those who have reached out to me.  I appreciate you all sharing your own experiences with me.  I especially love the part where they all have a happy ending at the end.  You have all inspried me.  Dr. Uhler has a great next gample plan we feel great about!  We are getting very excited for our next round hopefully with good news at the end!  J

Also, I was invited to speak on my story at Fashion for Fertility on April 23 at the Four Seasons Hotel downtown for a luncheon to kick-off Fertility Awareness Week!  Of course I would love nothing more to help out where I can because infertility has touched my life so significantly and is an obstacle we are currently facing.  I have always been very open about our journey because I have found so many people reach out and thank me for my openness and give people an outlet or even to offer good advice to me at each milestone.  We are all walking on unchartered territory and we need each other to help us get through this…  Please come out and support the battle of infertility that so many families face everyday.  It is one of the most hardest fights many couples face.  Also, come meet the incredibly talented physicians at FCI!  I have attached the link to purchase tickets.

Come out and show your support and enjoy a lovely afternoon at the Four Seasons - Chicago!  J

  1. That is wonderful that you are speaking. To bad I am no longer close enough to come by and listen but I will be there in thought.
I am glad to see that you are keeping on your journey. My DH & I had 3 tries before we had our twins. They were are back to back. If the last one didnt take we were going to take some time off to regroup. Its a hard crazy road but I wouldnt change a thing. On the last try I did do something different . I was really stressed by this time. I went to and had acupuncture for a month leading up to transfer & an hour long massage the night before and a day after.

  2. Dah. I am so sorry. It hurts like a truck, doesn't it? You are doing a great job keeping it in positive light. I hope you are able to really unload with people who understand.

I am sure your RE explained how very much information is collected in each attempt. Sometimes it has nothing to do with technique and everything to due with Things Beyond Our Control.

  3. Amanda: Thank you for sharing your story Amanda! It inspires me! I already have massages booked for our next cycle! I am hoping that will be blessed this next time around! Thank you so much for reaching out! :)

Roccie: Yea the pain my husband and I felt the past couple weeks has been heart-wrenching...however we hear that 2nd tries have even better chances! We are hoping we fall into the success group next time! Yes, Dr. Uhler has a great game plan for us on our next cycle! We feel very opomistic and excited again! Also, more spa days for me!

  4. Katie, You are truly a joyful (and graceful) soul. Thank you for sharing your journey with us - I have my fingers and toes crossed for your next round. Email me off-line about some yoga. I'd be happy to do a one-on-one session with you to help you personalize your fertility practice. My email's or you can reach out via FB. Peace, Beth

  5. Katie, I am so sorry to hear that you did not get the news that you were hoping for. Your comments about the importance of having supportive family and friends are so true. I also think it is great how open you have been in sharing your journey as well. Your blog actually motivated me to start my own fertility journey blog. Feel free to check it out.

I have been a patient of Dr. Beltsos for the past 5 years and have been going through fertility treatments for the past year and a half. We are now actually just getting started with Gestational Surrogacy. It has not been an easy road, but I work to remain hopeful like you and share my story with others as much as I can. Keep the positive attitude. I am confident that we will each have our babies someday.

  6. Beth: Thanks Beth! I will email you to set something up! I would love to start fertility yoga with you! Thanks for reaching out!

Katie: I most def want to start following your story on your blog. Every story has it's own uniqueness all reaching for the same end result. I think that is what makes this journey so different for all of us. There really is no fun journey via IVF. I will most def keep up with you! I would love to hear more on your story!
